UnitedHealthcare offers a host of online health information services, including Personal Health Records that enable customers to become more informed health care consumers.

"Many school district administrators and governing board members have indicated a desire to have fully insured health insurance and employee benefits alternatives that offer comprehensive and cost-effective services," said Benton Davis, UnitedHealthcare of Arizona CEO. "We believe our partnership with Benefit Intelligence and Valley Schools Employee Benefits Trust offers Arizona's teachers, aides, administrators and others, who all play such an important role in the education of our children, more quality health care benefit options for themselves and their dependents."

Tom Boone, CEO of Valley Schools, said: "For over 20 years now Valley Schools has provided much needed services to school districts, especially crafting solutions for our members. It is exciting that, through our partnership with UnitedHealthcare and Benefit Intelligence, we are now able to offer high-quality health benefits to small- and medium-sized school districts to complement the benefits we already offer to many of the largest districts in the state."

"School districts rank salaries and benefits as major concerns among their employees and are continuously looking for ways to find savings without disrupting employees and their families' income or insurance needs," said Charles Carlson, principal, Benefit Intelligence. "Our partnership leverages UnitedHealthcare's local market focus and the Valley Schools Trust's legacy in serving Arizona school district employees to deliver a comprehensive benefit plan that can meet the needs of school districts and their employees."

Benefit Intelligence, Inc., established in 1997, has three offices in Arizona and serves more than 250 clients including schools, municipalities, casinos and related Native-American business entities and other large and small employer groups and individuals. Benefit Intelligence belongs to United Benefit Advisors "UBA," an affiliation of more than 140 independently owned insurance and benefit advisors throughout the United States.

Valley Schools was created in 1987 and currently manages over 20,000 employees. VSEBT has previously worked closely with UnitedHealthcare, offering its products, services and network to schools and other public sector clients as part of its own insurance trust.
